HIRE A LIFEGUARD
The Skudin Swim Lifeguard Corps is capable of serving all aquatic venues and bodies of water for the greater area of Long Island. We supply Red Cross Nassau County Certified Lifeguards to corporate events, birthday parties, summer barbecues and other Lifeguard patrols.
Lifeguard Rates & Policies
Lifeguard Rates
- Guard to patron ratio: 1 guard per every 25 people (no exceptions)
- Single guard rate: $70/hr (Minimum 2 hours)
- Two guard rate: $120/hr (Minimum 2 hours)
- Three guard rate: $150/hr (Minimum 2 hours)
- Additional surcharge calculated at booking for locations over 45 minutes away from Long Beach
- All rates subject to change based on location of venue and specifics of request
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellation due to weather (heavy rain or thunderstorms): Account credit for a reschedule date
- Cancellations more than 48hrs prior to booked time: Full refund (minus 4% card processing fee)
- Cancellations less than 48hrs prior to booked time: NO REFUND
Lifeguard Roles/Responsibilities Description
- Single lifeguards are required to clear pool area and take 10 minute breaks every 50 minutes
- Non-swimmers or weak swimmers must be accompanied by an adult in the water at all times. Lifeguard is responsible for all pool patrons and should not be expected to devote special attention to individual swimmers who need assistance.
- Lifeguard may give deep water/swim test upon request
- Lifeguard reserves the right to revoke pool privileges to individuals who repeatedly refuse to follow safety guidance
Lifeguard Expectations
- Honest and truthful, does not lie, cheat, steal nor tolerates those who do
- On time, in uniform, sober and clear-minded
- Uniform worn appropriately acting polite and professional to all patrons
- Understand individual role and responsibility in Emergency Action Plans
- Physically Fit and mentally tough
- Constant surveillance on post
