
New York’s Will Skudin competed in the Todos Santos Challenge and came fourth in his first round heat, narrowly missing advancement. Skudin wasn’t done, though and paddled out as a civilian during the ten-minute break between the semis and the finals with the very improbable idea of catching a wave. Which he did.
